Dr. Kanapathippillai

We entered Medical Faculty from Hartley College, Point-Pedro and passed out together in 1965. All the antics and escapades of a medical students life we shared. Happy memories. Photo taken in 16th floor room at Hilton Hotel, Colombo, Srri Lanka.

to Asoka, de, Jayalath, Lukshman, Karunanayaka, Lucky, me, Piyaseeli, Udula
23.02.20018.    Re :Hotel Bookings.

Dear all.

I  received  a call from  Assa  a  little  while  back  , who  said  that  the  Hotel  Jet Wing   Blue  , Negombo  has   booked   150  rooms  for  a  corporate  client  of  theirs   , for  the    7th July 2018.

Therefore ,  we  need  to  move  away  from   Jet Wing  Blue.

Jet wing  has  offered  Jet Wing  Lagoon   instead ,  on  the  same  rates.  This hotel  is  closer  to  Colombo ,  and  is  on Pamunuwa  Road,  having  similar  facilities.

The  question  is  , do  we  accept  this  offer  , or  do we  migrate  elsewhere ,  such  as   Blue  Waters  in  Wadduwa ,   or  Jet Wing   Jai Jai  in  Panadura.

We  will have  to   take  a  quick  decision  ,on this  matter.

Pl  write  back  soon  with  your  views.

Wedi

Wedi,
Forget Jetwing. They may  let you down again. My bet  is Blue waters, Wadduwa
Philip

A few 'Gollden Oldies'

'Housewives' choice' on the English service of Radio Ceylon, was on at 2pm on week days. Afficiandos would gather round the largish walve-type radios at 'Bloem' Medical Hostel, and the student 'Common  Rooms' at the Medical Faculty  at Kynsey road, Colombo.. The medical students would live in their dream worlds, listening to these favorites in the early 1960s. Hope these songs tickle your memory.
