Translation:-

Like a bee is attracted to a flower, your memory comes to my mind,
Like the rays of sunshine the heart smiles, you smile.

At the moment when the heart fades with sorrow,
I am reminded of you and and my sorrow fades away.

The world is lighted up and the night disappears,
Numerous times, I remember you.

Verse recited by Philip at the end of his short acknowledgement of Sarath’s role, in the Batch of 1960 Medical entrants and its reunions, at the cremation grounds:-

Lives of great men all remind us
        We can make our lives sublime,
    And, departing, leave behind us
        Footprints on the sands of time ;

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)
            A PSALM OF LIFE
