Dear Philip
It is with sadness I
share the death of another of our batch mates - Dr Raja Wannakukorala, who
passed away peacefully at his home at Lotus Grove, Dehiwala, on
19th Saturday suddenly and unexpectedly.
Many of you would
remember him as a very friendly, jovial and a helpful colleague and his sense
of humour.
He was the MSU Editor
and was also the author of popular book of medical jokes - 'Laughter is the
Best Medicine'
He is survived by his
wife Chandra and his 2 children Arjuna & Mihirani.
Funeral services are
planned for Wednesday 23rd at Kanatta cemetery. The body is kept at
Jayaratne funeral parlour from Tuesday.
I have spoken to his
wife Chandra and offered our deepest sympathies.
