Dear CoMSAA Member,

There are only 40 more days for the CoMSAA Reunion and Academic Sessions 2019.

This is a gentle reminder inviting you & your family to join us on 7^th and 8^th September 2019 at The Blue Water Hotel & Spa, Wadduwa. The Reunion (singing & dancing) will be held on the 7^th and the Academic Sessions on the 8^th.

The Rates for the Rooms on HB Basis (has been reduced by the Hotel due to the prevailing situation in the country) and Day Event are given below.

Room Rates (Half Board – 7^th Dinner & 8^th Breakfast)

Single - Rs. 16 800.00             Double - Rs. 19 020.00           Triple - Rs. 21 600.00               (Rooms available from 2.00 pm on the 7th)

Conference Package (Morning Tea, Lunch & Evening Tea)

Adult - Rs. 3900.00    Child (6-12 years) - Rs. 1950.00

We would very much like to have you at least on the 8^th, if you feel you are unable to come on both days.

There is a bus arranged from the Medical Faculty & back on the 8^th of September.

'Chune Paan' , Fur Elise. in Katharagama, Sri Lanka.

I had spent a night at a guest house in Katharagama. Around 5.30 am I heard a beautiful piece of music, being played repeatedly nearby. I came out to trace the source of the music and I saw this van selling, fresh firewood heated, oven- baked bread and buns. This van is called a 'Tune paan van' by the villagers and makes its daily rounds.The melody is played, to attract the eager customers, needing hot bread for breakfast,This is quite a regular sight in the outlying villages of present Sri Lanka.

My Sister - a little awhile ago she was Awake & in peace. I had spoken with her. Her Daughter Devamala, & Son in law

Laurian were there Also the younger children. I got a call from Laurie, a little awhile ago she passed away Peacefully, without any pain in her House, In her bed, surrounded by her closest relatives . This is what she wanted. she has been blessed.

Dear Sena,

Vijeyalakshimi was with me in  Colombo Medical College. She as long as I can remember was  a generous & giving

Person. When I went after Tsunami at the aid of IMHO Twice to help in what ever ways I could- I saw Loads of Brand New  Medical books donated, by her, through Dr Jeya Ganeshamoorthy, to be given to the deserving to Med Students in Jaffna Teaching Hosp:  I am almost sure  much more she had done without us knowing. 

As you know she is the daughter of Famed G.G. Ponnamblam ( Politics) & Wife of Dr.Braham Sivaprakasapillay

& his own famous family with the Prof: Father & Sister(  well accomplished, 1st Woman in SL qualify as an Engineer.)
