I enjoyed reading the above thought provoking article forwarded by Karals and added by you on to our 1960 blog.
The
article is is highly relevant, quite detailed, informative, lengthy
and covers most of the ‘essentials’ both for the present & the
future implications.
Incidentally, the contents are quite lengthy due to lots of repetitions( cut & paste effect) but worth reading in full.
I
do peruse through your blogs regularly and I appreciate your dedication
to share relevant updates with our surviving Batchmates. I believe we
should support your efforts by accessing it often, if you are mentally
alert and not visually impaired and preferably adding a comment( like
it or not at least).
What is disappointing is our inability to get a true picture of the number who read the updates even infrequently.
I must also warn you with some of the shared information flying around at present.
During
this most uncertain and worrying times of this mysterious and deadly
pandemic, I find plenty of ‘experts’ who offer unnecessary and even
misleading ‘advice’.
Could I share some basic but helpful tips for your perusal.( you can ignore or be critical of these if you wish);
1. Isolate yourself from ‘News’ about the Virus 19. ( Everything we need to know, we already know).
2. Do not look out for a daily death toll. This is not a cricket match to know the latest score. Avoid that.
3.
Do not look for additional information on the internet ( which has
plenty of unreviewed & false information). These would weaken your
mental status even more.
4. Avoid sharing fatalistic messages. Some people do not have the same mental strength as you have.
5.
If possible, keep yourself occupied with any of your hobbies- music,
physical exercise, card/ board games, communicating with your friends
& relatives etc.
6. Keep sticking to basic
and useful preventive measures - repeated hand washing & social
distancing and avoid non essential travels.
7. Remain POSITIVE and STAY STRONG and Safe. Let’s look back and reflect in say 1-2 years.
Best wishes
