Keep sending the stories. I too remeber very well the episode where bikes
and cars skidded opposite the Faculty entrance. You may need to check but I
believe Willy Ranavale was Head of Pathology and later was director of The
NCMC.

6 Harischandra, Gunasiri. Piyasena. My internship was with
Prof. Milroy Paul and Dr. Wijenayake. After that I was MO OPD at the
Lady Ridgeway hospital and SHO to Dr. Nanayakkara at Ragama Hospital.
There I met Sunetha and married her. Soon after that I went to
England. Stayed there for 6 years. Got my MRCP. Last couple of years
I was lucky to work with Prof. Sheila Sherlock. She was influential
in my emigrating to USA. If the Liver was her first love, helping
people was certainly her second. In US I did private practice in

year in a Gastro Clinic. No more hospital work or Endoscopy. I read a
lot play a little golf, travel and try to understand wine. My

Hello Buddy,
Long ago I heard of a beleif of the Greeks, that when a child is born, it
has started on a journey, seeking it's matched partner. Throughout it's life
the being keeps searching, till it finds its perfect match. I am sure that
you found this in your life. It does not stop there but continues after
life. The physical life is not one percent of your existence according to
the mystics. In the bible it has been described as 'the vale of tears'. The
greater Good and greater Joy follow, as sure as the sunrise. This I beleive
in. I am sure what you saw, was of a greater reality, beyond human
cogniscance. The duties on earth have to be fulfilled as if performing a
debt, before your time comes, to qualify to reach that ultimate reality.
Here is wishing you all the best.
Philip

Thanks Phillip,
While I miss her, there is a joy in knowing that she is in the presence of
the great love of God and an enormous admiration for her on her wonderful
achievement. I hope to reach there too but only through the mercy of God.
Until then there are still people to look after.
God bless you,
Buddy

too.Looked after the ICU etc.I was so stressed all the time wondering
whether I had done the very best for the patient.Worked there for nearly 10
yrs & they really loved me.In 1998 we decided to retire to NZ hoping that

well settled in USA they now want us to join them over there.
