Dear Phillip,
It was indeed very shocking to
hear about Anula. The good thing is at least she did not have to suffer which
is I believe what we all hope for. not sure whether the two of them attended
our last get-together but they were active participants at our previous ones
If you do you have Vijitha's e

I was very saddened to hear the sudden & most unexpected death of your beloved wife and a wonderful batch mate of ours.
Both of you were a wonderful couple who always supported actively all our batch reunions.
Whenever
I asked for any help towards some of the charitable activities we had
undertaken over the years, both of you responded positively and
generously.
You may well remember your generous
contribution towards our efforts ( Nana’s mostly UK Batch )to raise
funds towards purchase of much needed valuable books to the medical
faculty library books and in addition, towards the regular monthly
financial assistance we are providing monthly, for 2 medical students
till they complete successfully the full 5 years and recurring every
five years for another two worthy students.
You
would miss her so badly but she would also be missed by the batch
mates, all her close friends and above all those helpless patients and
families who received your valuable expert mental health advice.
May she rest in Peace.
Please accept our deepest sympathies and every good wish.
I am in Sri Lanka at present and unlikely that I would be able visit you to of our deepest sympathies.
We can can only share our very sincere thoughts at this time of your great loss and severe grief.
Nana
